We usually start in the hives at the beginning of the meeting — if you'd like to get close to the bees, you're invited to bring and wear your bee jacket! After the hive time, we move inside for the presentation and discussion.

Meetings are also available via Zoom for those who can't make it in person. Zoom details are available in the members area.

Meetings typically include:

  • Association business and announcements
  • Featured presentation or workshop
  • Q&A and open discussion
  • Seasonal beekeeping topics relevant to what's happening in the hives right now

What We Cover Through the Year

Our meetings follow the beekeeping calendar, covering timely topics as the seasons change:

  • Spring: New beekeeper workshops, package bee orders, hive buildup
  • Summer: Hive inspections, honey extraction, queen management
  • Fall: Varroa treatment, winter preparation, feeding strategies
  • Winter: Planning, educational presentations, equipment maintenance
